Established in 2021, Hell Let Loose Commandos is a large competitive PC gaming community with over 200 active members that compete in world-wide e-sporting events for the popular World War 2 PC strategy game, winning 2nd place in the world e-sports series 2 years running and winning several smaller league events.

The community web application displays upcoming event details, allowing community members to easily register themselves for the event. A unique live player stats and a leaderboard give a competitive element to members of the community, along with an online shop for purchasing merchandise.

What work we did.

We creatively designed a dark themed application to match popular gaming software used throughout the gaming community, such as Discord and Steam.

We integrated our own in-house PHP API to communicate with the clients game server database to allow us to create a live user stats section and unlockable achievements based on the results from the data, such as achievements for total victories. Using this data, we were able to develop a unique leaderboard system.

We also developed a bespoke team management system to help the administrators better manage events and members of the community.
